Worth a Thousand Words

Thank you to everyone for all your good wishes, compliments, and blessings!

I may have mentioned that when Celia was born, my sister came down from Ventura and took Viva back with her for a few days until we got out of the hospital (I may have mentioned it, I may not have, and I'm too pressed for time to go back and check). At any rate, we got home from the hospital Saturday afternoon, and my sister brought Viva back the next day. Here is a picture of Viva holding her sister for the first time, about 2 minutes and 30 seconds after she walked in the door:

It's a little blurry because it's a still picture pulled from video, but you can clearly see how thrilled Viva is. It makes me a little weepy to look at it.

Here is a close-up of Celia trying to eat her hand:

We are all thoroughly in love with her.

Wow. I'm sort of speechless...well, since it's the internet let's just say 'without words'. What a lovefest you guys have going on there — I remember those days. *soft sigh* They are just as precious as the babies that make them.

I've seen you do that look on Viva's face!

Hooray! She is beautiful! And I love the sweet picture of Viva holding her. I'm sorry you had some separation at first, but now that you're all together, hooray. My baby girl just recently turned one, and I've been going back in my memory to those sweet newborn maternity leave days. Enjoy!

You have got to frame that photo. It's such a precious one. How lucky you are to have two such beautiful girls.
