In these economically distressed times, most days I've been brown-bagging it to work. Except I don't use a brown paper bag, I use one of my
Chico bags, which is actually a shopping bag and really too large to use as a lunch bag. So today while eating lunch at my desk, I was looking into reusable bags and eco-utensils and I got distracted onto
Fleurville’s site. You know, they’re all environmentally friendly and stuff. And I came across this:
It’s the Calla Chair, the coolest looking (and eco-conscious!) high chair known to man (or maybe just to me). You know, Cily will need a high chair in a few months. Some day she might eat actual food. And you know what?
It’s $675. SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS.
Ye Gods.
Apparently you need to have some green to go green these days. Go figure.

Holy moley! It's cute, but not $675-cute. I'll wait for the deadly Ikea knock-off.
It's so expensive to be green these days that even the frogs are thinking of changing colors.
What in the world? Is it gold plated?
cee: IKEA bonus - the cinnamon bun. Definitely worth the trip!
bridget: tell me about it! It's sick that doing good for the planet generally translates into spending quite a bit more money. Don't even get me started on the hybrid cars.
LA: Yeah, right? Does it clean itself?!
